Keeping Yourself As Comfortable As Possible Both At Work and At Home

[ad_1]

Comfort and being a working mother might seem like two terms that do not go together very often. However, the fact that you have a full schedule does not mean that you have to spend your days being uncomfortable. There are certain tweaks in your routine or items you can buy that can add to your comfort. The best thing that you can do is to list the situations in which you are the most physically uncomfortable and then fix it! The following are ways you can keep yourself comfortable both at work and at home.

The Office

The office is somewhere that people rarely get very comfortable in for a variety of reasons. The cubicle screams discomfort but you cannot change the way management wants everyone seated. What can be changed is the seat you are sitting in as there are plenty of options for comfortable chairs as well as seat pads. If it is allowed there are health benefits as well as posture benefits of sitting on a physio ball. Another aspect which people can never agree upon in the office is that of the temperature. There are those that want the office to be like the arctic tundra while others want it to feel like a hot summer day in the office. A space heater or a fan can help you be as comfortable as possible if you are too hot or cold during the day.

Your Bed

The bed should be a place of comfort starting with the sheets. Rough sheets can make it difficult to sleep as well as be uncomfortable. Special sheets allow you to have the comfort of soft high thread count sheets without overheating as they are breathable. The other issue that many people have with sleeping is their bed itself. The fact is that many beds are quite expensive but putting a price on high quality sleep is difficult. Take the time to figure out what level of firmness works for you and your partner to see if you can come to a compromise. There are even beds that allow you to adjust the firmness on both sides so everyone is happy.

Your Car

The commute to work for many people is the part of the day that they dread most. Traffic does not exactly lend itself to comfort but you can in fact be very comfortable in your car. There are back massagers that you can pick up at a variety of stores if you tend to stiffen up after a long drive. Some of these even come with heat so even those with the sorest of muscles can benefit. The position that your seat is in should also be evaluated as this can put undue stress on your back and neck. If you carpool do not be afraid to bring your heating pad or other comfort items.

As you can see these cover 3 of the places that we would like to be comfortable in our daily lives. Do not simply make yourself uncomfortable as this is what you think you should do.
