New products include the IRIScan™ Anywhere 5, IRIScan™ Book 5, IRISNotes™ 3

I.R.I.S., the worldwide leader in the market of mobile scanners and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software, announces the launch of three new products designed to productively scan and convert documents: the IRIScan™ Anywhere 5, the IRIScan™ Book 5 and the IRISNotes™ 3.

The new I.R.I.S. suite of mobile productivity products include:

IRISNotesTM 3

IRISNotesTM 3, available with or without Bluetooth capability, is a rechargeable digital pen that captures handwriting and drawings created with the pen. Simply write your notes on any regular paper and with the push of a button, transfer to a mobile device. The Notes 3 takes written notes and creates editable, searchable text ready to be exported to Outlook, Word or Notepad. The IRISNotes 3 stores up to 100 pages and recognizes 30 languages. IRISNotes 3 will be available for $129.99 in black and $149.99 in white for the Bluetooth-enabled IRISNotes Air 3.

IRIScanTM Anywhere 5

IRIScanTM Anywhere 5, also available with Wi-Fi capability, is a battery-powered autonomous scanner that automatically turns documents into editable JPEG or PDF files. Documents are fed through the scanner at a rate of one page per five seconds, and automatically saved to a provided MicroSD card ready to be transferred to a PC or Mac. IRIScanTM Anywhere 5 will be available in four color options for $129.99 and $149.99 for the IRIScanTM Anywhere 5 Wi-Fi.

IRIScanTM Book 5

IRIScanTM Book 5, also available with Wi-Fi capability, is a rechargeable handheld scanner with a unique multiple-page PDF scan capability. Unlike traditional scanners, the IRIScanTM Book 5 allows you to scan magazines pages, books pages or letter documents such as invoices, contracts or even your favorite recipes. All this without having to rip pages off and/or damaging original support of document. It’s the world’s fastest portable autonomous scanner with down to one second scan per document. Convert any paper document, PDF or image file into editable Office documents (300, 600 or 1200 dpi) with accompanying OCR software. IRIScanTM Book 5 will be available in four color options for $129.99 and $149.99 for the Wi-Fi version.

“Our newly introduced on-the-go productivity products are key tools for small to medium businesses and self-employed consumers, especially those in the accountant, legal, healthcare and education sectors, or consulting areas,” said Rosa Norcisa, consumer marketing manager for I.R.I.S. Inc. “These products streamline the way users can scan, store, edit and share fully searchable information at home, office and on the go, freeing up their time to take care of more important day-to-day tasks and gaining precious time when needing to retrieve information.“
