MECUM DALLAS strikes with Platinum service

…Leaving Dallas, with this on my mind: Mecum proves once again why attending the Mecum Auto show and Auction, is more than just attending any old auction. It’s an experience, referred to as: The Mecum Experience. To woe someone for the first time, could be said to be expected. However, to do a repeat impression, pretty much validates that it was not just all for the show. It shows consistency, in fulfilling the mission, and success in solidifying the objective; which is to continue to provide friendly, professional and quality service to their attendees.

In a world where superb customer service is rapidly declining, where kindness and service should go hand in hand; it has become obsolete in a lot of companies. It is truly comforting to know that there is a company that continues to “get it right” every time. I have adopted the Mecum family, as my own. Mecum has the formula, the blueprint, if you will. There is an unwritten rule, or a model that they follow, that seems to just be in choosing the right people, who share the same concept of what service should include. I say that, because it doesn’t seem rehearsed. It appears to come naturally.

The long awaited day had finally come. I had been marking down the days until Mecum would return to Dallas, and anxious to get on the flight to head that way. The short 45 minute flight seemed like hours, as I counted every minute until I heard the captain say that we were beginning our descent. I was ecstatic to attend Mecum Dallas, to experience the event for the second time and in another city. I was honored to also meet Dave Magers, CEO at MECUM Collector Car Auctions, for the first time. And it came as a surprise to me, of course. Just an added pleasure and benefit of working with a company who operates on the down to earth level, while providing superior service. I was humbled by the experience and eternally grateful!

Quite a few things stood out to me, at this reunion of the classics. One being the friendly faces of the staff, who also remembered my son by name. Their natural ability to engage and keep me informed on upcoming tour stops, all while expressing a genuine concern for how my child has been doing lately. They have missed him as much as he misses them. I was eager to connect with everyone, as they have kept in touch since the last time seeing them in Houston. S/0 to Princess Kate, Rob Meyers, Scott Hoke!

As I walked the floor, looking for my sons beloved “BUMBLEBEE” I spoke to attendees and participants through my time at the Dallas Convention Center, for Mecum Dallas; I was confronted with positive feedback and testimonials from other attendees, who expressed sentiments about how much they too, enjoy attending a MECUM Auction; because of the family friendly atmosphere. I could not agree more, with the compliments that were exchanged about why this is truly something everyone needs to experience for themselves. An item for the bucket list, if you have not had the pleasure of attending.

I left with as many hopes to return to the next tour stop, as I had when I last saw the team at MECUM Houston! Perhaps I should start packing now and head on down to KISSIMMEE!
